Biking Hawaii (The Big Island)
| Kauai Biking
Kauai biking is fairly easy due to the lack of big hills. Traffic on Kauai is getting busier, but it is a lot better than the other Hawaiian Islands. Roads are generally good but the shoulders are not wide, and sometime non-existent. There are some bike lanes but these are mostly near tourist resorts.
Mountain biking, is growing in popularity, and many of the island's forest reserve trails, including the 13-mile Powerline Trail from Keahua Arboretum to Princeville, are open to mountain bikers.
